Nearly three years after our "Toasted" cream blush collection launched, we're finally adding the next roster of soft neutrals to our blush family. Say hello to the "Smoked" blush collection. The shades in this collection are softer and gentler, flowing from romantic rosy tones to touches of neutral brown and brick. We also included a special touch of figurative smoke in this collection, in the form of a grey blush that you can mix with any blush to make it a bit more muted and moody. As with many of our other blush shades, they are very olive undertone friendly!

Purpose: A cheek colour with customizable intensity. 
 
Texture: A cream that resembles a chocolate truffle in texture. Melts to the touch, but dries down to a soft natural, somewhat powder like finish that does not remain sticky or greasy.
 
Suggested Tools: Pairs best with the Skyfluff and/or Smallquill brushes, that were designed by us specifically for this product. 
 
Shade Descriptions:
 
Dust : cool grey
A shade designed to be a mixer for liquid and cream bronzers, foundations, and blushes. The tiniest touch of it can make anything more cool, muted, and olive. A very handy dandy tool to desaturate other products!
 
Steam : faded rose 
A muted mid tone neutral rosy tone that similar to many shades in this collection, is cooled down with a good amount of blue pigment. If you want a soft and romantic rosy blush that is not too vibrant or high contrast, this is a good one!
 
Sear : rosy beige 
A muted neutral that is a great "beige" adjacent colour for those who don't want something that is too yellow or golden. Again, blue and cool red pigments in this shade really ground the colour.
 
Scorch : dirty maple (low white base)
A relatively neutral brown blush that has been cooled off with a good amount of blue. The inspiration was for a blush that's not quite brown enough to be a bronzer, but has that sculpting warmth to it. That said, many of our lighter customers do enjoy using this as a bronzer.
 
Incense : rich, cool brick (low white base)
A relatively "cooled down" brick - any cooler and it would become maroon. On deep skin, this is the perfect "barely there" flush of colour on the cheek as it has the depth without too much vibrancy or brightness. If you have lighter skin and enjoy that sunburnt, "I live under the sun" colour - this is perfect.
 
* A low white base means that the shades will appear more translucent & bright, which lends itself well with deeper skin tones to avoid any ashiness or greyness. The less white a product has, the warmer it'll read on the skin when sheered and blended out as well.
 
General Care: do not overtighten the plastic cap on the jar or twist it as hard as you can. It needs to be barely twisted shut to preserve the integrity of the product. 
 
Tip!: The surface of our cream blushes (whether new or used) can sometimes develop small crystal formations. This is a natural occurrence from the waxes & butters in the formula going through temperature changes over time as the product melts and sets with use, transit, or just being in storage. It does not affect the performance of the blush at all, and a quick swirl of a finger will warm the surface up and melt the crystals right away! 
 
This is much less common if you've purchased a blush from us starting 2024, as we tweaked the formula to reduce the occurence of this!
