US shipping is now live! Please read the info below before you checkout.
In short: no tariffs or surprise fees on delivery! We've had nothing but success since reopening shipping to the USA late September 2025 :)
How US Shipping Will Work From Now On:
Good News - NO TARIFFS or surprise fees on delivery!: our products are tariff & tax free as they are exempt under the USMCA/CUSMA free trade agreement. Most importantly: what you see at checkout is what you will pay. There will be no extra fees on delivery. You will not be charged tariffs. We know people are seeing stories from Americans receiving packages through UPS/DHL, etc. and getting massive bills for tariffs and fees when a package is delivered. This is not the case for those shopping with us. All applicable fees are paid by us before we even mail out your package.

A message from one of our US customers who made an order in Sept 2025 :) Customs Clearance: this process is what allows our US customers to avoid tariffs. All packages need to be cleared by customs brokers prior to entering the USA. This process will take a few business days once a package is shipped. So tack on 1-2 days to what you're used to in terms of shipping speed from us.
Shipping Restrictions: we will not ship makeup brushes or eyeshadows to USA customers & addresses. All orders including these items will be cancelled. This is not bound to change soon, or ever. Please do not try to buy them anyways.
New US Order Processing Fee (2%): with the new customs brokerage process, we are now being charged extra fees to ship to the USA. To help offset this, we will be charging a 2% customs brokerage fee to all US orders (eg. $0.42 for a $21 blush). Annoying, we know, but this allows US customers to avoid being charged 35% tariffs so it's well worth it. The base brokerage fee we get charged is around $3 for an order of one item, so we're covering a lot of the cost ourselves already.
Checkout/Store Currency: Please note that our store currency is in Canadian Dollars. Your credit card will automatically convert this to US dollars (USD) after you pay, based on the exchange rate. Example: A $100 purchase on our website "only" costs about $71 USD after conversion. No special action needed, your dollar goes a long way when shopping with us :)

FAQs:
Why can't we buy brushes?: This has been the case since April of this year. Our brushes are made in China. If we were to ship them to US customers, they'd have tariffs of 30% applied to them. We do not want to deal with the extra customs and paperwork to do that, and we don't think our customers want to pay that much more either.
Why can't we buy eyeshadows?: With the new changes in August 2025, customs and the FDA now reserve the right to either scrutinize a package with one eyeshadow meant for personal use the same way they would a shipment of 1000 eyeshadows meant to be resold at a retailer. Part of this includes potentially asking us for proof of where ingredients come from, dating back up to 5 years. Given that eyeshadows are a tiny product category for us, we source small amounts of pigments from various suppliers without much consistency. As such, it is just too big of a task for us right now to keep track of it all in the amount of detail that may be potentially required. To minimize any potential delays or issues at the border, we're choosing to stop shipping eyeshadows.
I've seen other US shoppers get charged huge duties and fees on delivery. How come you're saying we won't when we shop with you?: There are two ways to send something to the USA. One is called DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) and the other DDP (Delivered Duty Paid).
DDU: this is the option that is causing all the big bills and uncertainty people are seeing across social media. This method means when something is shipped out, the shipper is saying "This is what is in the package, this is how much it cost. The customer is responsible for all applicable duties, taxes, and fees when the package gets delivered.". There is no way of knowing how much you will be charged until a package is about to be delivered. Companies like UPS, DHL, etc. send you a bill that you have to pay before they give the package to you. These bills are also notorious for having big "brokerage fees" added to them. We are not doing this.
DDP: the option we are using. This method means that we (the shipper), pre-assess any applicable fees, duties, tariffs, etc. and pre-pay for them, BEFORE we even ship a package out. This means when a package reaches a customer, there is absolutely nothing they need to pay. What you see at our checkout is what you will pay. No surprises or unexpected fees when the package shows up at your door. Our USA bound packages are also sent using an US address. So to USPS, our packages will look "local" and as such, will be exempt from any fees or tariffs on delivery.
