ABOUT US
Based in Vancouver, BC, Canada, Phytosurgence was started as a hobby in 2019 with one single product - our Regenerative Facial Oil. We operated as a skincare only brand at first, with a small following and product lineup of our three facial serums that still exist today.

However, everything changed for us when we launched our first colour cosmetic product - our Skin Spark cream blush. Very quickly, this product became a catalyst for our brand. Purely through word of mouth, our cream blush started showing up on social media, online forums, and quickly became a staple in many people's daily makeup routines and even celebrity makeup artists' kits. We unexpectedly built a business on blush, and makeup quickly became our bread and butter! But don't get us wrong, our skincare customers remain some of our most loyal customers ever.

Over the years, our brand has became known as a beauty brand that doesn't follow trends and will create products that have a distinct "you won't find this anywhere else" quality to it. Our blush range is known for its unique and diverse shades, particularly for those with olive or muted undertones. Our bronzers are known for their ability to never look orange. Our "my lips but better" lip balms are repeatedly purchased in multiples, which says a lot in the beauty world where product loyalty is rare.

Despite many growth and investor opportunities, Phytosurgence still remains a fully independently owned brand with a small core team of 2 (though we do have help here and there now). After all these years, our values remain the same:

Create unique, thoughtful, and intentional products that stand the test of time. Every product of ours is a "holy grail" to some of our customers. We continuously update and upgrade products over time, rather than replace them with trendy new SKUs to keep up with social media.

Inclusivity for all genders, ages, and skin tones. Diversity is not an afterthought, it's just an unspoken, integrated part of our brand identity. It's just the bare minimum at this point, isn't it?!

Keep makeup and skincare as affordable as possible. Within 6 years, we have not raised our prices even once, despite inflation and all.

No fancy marketing. Our products can speak for themselves. We don't want or need to go viral to have impact. We have customers who have routinely shopped with us for 5+ years and we think that speaks volumes.

We're not out here trying to be the next big thing. We want Phytosurgence to be an online "mom & pop" shop that holds a special place in their community.
