Last year we launched our Calm Conditions lip balms to massive success. Since then, all our customers have been asking for more shades and who are we to say no?! So we're welcoming five brand new shades to our lip balm lineup. Our original & holiday shades leaned more into rosy tones, browns, and pinks. This collection is a bit more varied - a few pops of colour, some cooler tones, and some signature "You've never met a neutral like this" shades that we're known for.

If you've never tried our lip balms, this is a little excerpt from our original collection that describes the vision for the product:
 
"Calm Conditions was designed to be our version of a goldilocks lip balm. We created this formula with ingredients like vegan lanolin and beeswax alternatives, lipo-amino acids, and murumuru butter that help nourish, soften, and improve elasticity in lips over time. Texturally, it applies as a super elastic, cushiony layer that does not feel oily, thick, or sticky. This is not like the one swipe, glossy balms that you see everywhere right now. This takes some time to work onto the lips, but it builds up into a beautiful barrier that you will love."

Purpose: A stick lip balm that provides rich nourishment in a variety of sheer shades designed to be "my lips but better" tones that aren't too vivid or saturated. 
 
Texture & Finish: A gelled wax that melts into a plush, grippy, and cushiony layer that hugs the lips. Becomes one with the lips, so there is no distinct layer of pigmented "stuff" that sits on top of the lips. Provides very natural hydrated luminosity, without looking heavy, thick, or overly glossy/goopy. If you like hyper shiny and pigmented lip products - this is not it. 
 
Tips & Directions: 
The first few uses will feel a little waxier and take more passes to melt onto the lips. Once the top layer has been worked through, the lip balm will melt, layer, and glide on much easier.
Twist up the stick the smallest amount when using it to minimize risk of breakage during use. Gentle gliding motions work best. No need to drag and press hard.
If you're someone who likes to swatch things, the lip balms swatch much easier once they've been broken into and used on the lips. Tugging them brand new across the skin to swatch them can lead to higher risk of breakage
 
Shade Descriptions:
 
Bright Brine: a sheer neutral red with the tiniest hint of berry & blue to keep the colour anchored and full bodied. Not an orange or neon vivid kinda red. Can easily be dressed up or down. The vibes were "easy breezy French girl".
 
Sweet Saline: a neutral rosy beige with a touch of "sand" in the background that doesn't read obviously peach, golden, or yellow on the lips. If you want a touch of warmth while neutralizing your natural lip colour without the "concealer lips" effect, this is it.
 
Silent Seas: a muted, toned down pink. Not too dusky or grey, but similar to Sweet Saline, can neutralize your natural lip tone but in a cooler manner. If you like Soft Swells from our original collection but wanted something even more muted, this is perfect.
 
Deep Dream: a mid tone mauve that leans into the violet side. A tiny touch of brown is used in this shade to tame the vibrancy, without distracting from its mauvey core.
 
Cold Current: a grape jelly inspired shade. A sheer jammy tone that isn't overly commital to wear. For those who want a cooler toned pop of colour without a ton of opacity or pigment, this will tick all your boxes.
 
Made and handpoured as always by us in Vancouver, BC. If you see a small air bubble or two in the stick - that's normal and what happens when you don't use big machinery to fill lip balm molds.
